The Development

To uncover the core value proposition and build an effective narrative arc, I conducted an in-depth interview with the President and his primary contractor. We mapped out prospect pain points and market gaps. Through these discussions, we identified three critical differentiators:

  • The “Juggling” Dilemma: Small business owners are stretched thin trying to balance daily operations, growth, and back-office bookkeeping without enough hours in the day to keep up.

  • The “Other Doors” Dilemma: While typical bookkeepers and emerging AI options may be cheaper, they aren’t necessarily better. AI carries higher error rates and unmanaged liability. Standard bookkeepers and CPA firms aren’t focused on strategic financial insights.

  • The Strategic Sweet Spot: We positioned Books By MyPro right in the center — providing dedicated QuickBooks Online transaction categorization backed by rigorous CFO oversight, without the overhead or distractions of CPA firms.

Snapshot

The President of MyPro Business Services (a business that I co-own) was rebranding the bookkeeping arm of the business. He needed a high-converting sales deck to help in this endeavor. Together, we defined how Books By MyPro provides a unique offering with a strong value proposition, especially when compared to typical bookkeepers, expensive CPA firms, and emerging AI options. Through visual storytelling, I spoke to his target audience (small business owners), called out their common need, and provided a clear answer by way of this firm’s offerings.
